Afternoon Activity: Guided Game Drive
After a short rest at Omaruru Game Lodge, embark on a two-hour guided game drive through the lodge’s private reserve. Experienced guides lead you across open savannahs and bushland where white rhinos, giraffes, zebra, oryx, and kudu often graze in the golden afternoon light. As the heat fades, wildlife becomes more active. It is a rewarding time for photography and quiet observation. Stop at a scenic lookout for sundowner drinks before returning to the lodge around 18:30.
Dinner at Waterhole Restaurant
After the game drive, unwind over a three course dinner in the lodge’s open air restaurant overlooking the illuminated waterhole. The setting can attract nocturnal visitors such as springbok, eland, and warthogs. Locally inspired dishes, South African wines, and local craft beer make this a relaxed finish to your first day in Namibia.
